Accident on I-70 sends four to hospital

On Monday, August 10 at about 7:25 p.m., Judith A. Fox, 68, of Wentzville was heading westbound on Interstate 70 east of Bryan Road in a 2006 Dodge Caravan.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Fox was driving slowly due to traffic. A 16-year-old Wentzville male was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier and failed to slow. The front of the Cavalier struck the rear of the Caravan.
The teenage driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital East. His 17-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries and was also taken to St. Joseph Hospital East. A 16-year-old male passenger in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West.
Fox’s passenger, Robert L. Fox, 72, of Wentzville, suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West.
St. Charles County Ambulance transported the injured individuals.
All were wearing seatbelts during the accident, except the seriously-injured17-year-old.
