Accident sends three to hospital

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Tuesday, sending three to area hospitals. The O’Fallon Police Department issued the following regarding the incident:
“On December 14, 2010, at approximately 1:23 a.m., the O’Fallon Police Department responded to an accident on Highway K at the entrance to the Yateem Legacy Plaza.
Vehicle 1, a white 98 Dodge Durango, was traveling southbound on Highway K in the outside lane approaching a flashing yellow light. Based on witness statements vehicle 2, a grey 98 Pontiac G6, failed to stop for the flashing red light and attempted to turn onto Highway K from the Yateem Legacy Plaza. Vehicle 1 collided with vehicle 2.
The driver of vehicle 1 was Jerry Huskey, a 45-year-old St. Charles County resident. The driver of vehicle 2 was Erika Thiemann, a 22-year-old St. Charles resident. The passenger of vehicle 2 was Joshua Radtke, a 22-year-old O’Fallon resident.
All three subjects were transported to area hospitals. Jerry Huskey had nonlife-threatening injuries. Erika Thiemann had serious injuries. Joshua Radtke had nonlife-threatening injuries. It is unknown at this time if the subjects are still in the hospital or if there was any change in their status. The investigation is ongoing.”
