Accident claims the life of O’Fallon man

Joseph N. Demarco, 19, of O’Fallon, was fatally injured in a car accident Friday, Dec. 5, in Lincoln County.
Demarco was driving a 1999 Dodge Neon at about 6:45 p.m. westbound near 1438 Route U when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and traveled off the road. The car then went off a small embankment and struck two trees.
Passengers in the vehicle were two teenage males from O’Fallon ages 17 and 15. They both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Lincoln County Medical Center by Lincoln County Ambulance.
The passengers were wearing seatbelts. Demarco was not.
