Tire falls off vehicle; causes accident

On Tuesday, January 19, Tara J. Brooks, 27, of Old Monroe, was driving a 1996 Ford Aspire westbound on Interstate 70, east of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the front tire separated from the vehicle causing Brooks to lose control of the car.
The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Brooks sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Brooks was wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
