Restaurant Review:
T’s Eatzeria in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri

T’s Eatzeria in Lake Saint Louis is short for Tontortoma’s. Tontortoma’s is a combination of the names Tony, Tory and Tommy, owner Jacki Swartz’s three children.
When we arrived for lunch, there was already a crowd. Obviously, this was no problem for T’s. We were served promptly. Our waitress was attentive, pleasant and approached at just the right times.
T’s décor follows a Tuscan theme: sunflower gold walls, one wall lined with family photos, so diners feel included as family. The ladies room is something to see, elegant with feminine mirrors and bows bordering the ceiling. There is even a chandelier in there! I didn’t peek in the men’s room, but I’m sure it’s equally as gorgeous and I suspect a little more masculine.
The wood dining tables were sturdy and comfortable, just like in an Italian farmhouse kitchen. We had a choice of eating outside at an umbrella-covered café table, but the weather was too hot—93 degrees! Maybe we’ll enjoy our meal in the fresh air another time.
We were served our drinks promptly and given some time to peruse the menu. I chose the
chicken salad on buttery croissant. The sandwich was beyond tasty. T’s combines chunky pieces of chicken breast, onions, apples, celery and tomatoes for their chicken salad. It is served with a tomato slice and a generous heaping of bean sprouts. Pickle slice and chips are served on the side. The chicken salad sandwich plate is $6.75.
My husband had the Italian steak sandwich, which is a quarter pound of grilled sirloin topped with sautéed onions, red banana peppers and pepperoncini all topped with melted mozzarella and served on toasted garlic bread. It was also served with chips and a pickle slice. The Italian steak sandwich plate is $7.25.
We both agreed the sandwiches were delicious and we wanted more even though our servings were plenty large.
T’s prices are more expensive than fast food, of course, but just right for a nice outing. The most expensive entrée on the menu is the Lobster, Scallop and Shrimp Ravioli for $11.95. They also offer pizzas, appetizers and a fondue dessert among other things. T’s is a great place to take visiting relatives or a client, but it is still casual enough and priced right to enjoy on a whim. I saw high chairs at-the-ready and a kids’ section on the menu, including p,b & j pizza; T’s welcomes children diners as well.
T’s is located at 1325 Lake Saint Louis Boulevard in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. They are open from 11a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Sundays. For more information call T’s at 636-625-TOGO.
