Motor vehicle accident involving school bus

At about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, a motor vehicle accident was reported involving a Wentzville School District school bus. The incident occurred at the intersection of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard and Civic Center Drive in Lake Saint Louis.
Matthew Deichmann, Community Relations Director for the Wentzville School District, said one of the district’s buses was “struck by a Lake Saint Louis police vehicle.”
Deichmann also stated that the bus was on the way to Green Tree Elementary and had a driver and one student on board. As a precaution, both the driver and student were taken to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
The condition of the police officer is unknown. Lake Saint Louis Police offered no information and are referring calls to the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department, because they are working the accident.
Lt. Craig McGuire of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Office stated information is still being gathered on this incident.
