Man with gun taken into custody

Police were called to the 600 block of Autumnwood Forest Drive in Lake Saint Louis Tuesday at about 10:40 p.m. in response to a call from a woman who stated she and her husband had been arguing before he loaded a .38 pistol.
Police met the woman in her driveway. They attempted to speak to the man, but he would not emerge from the home.
Neighbors were notified of the situation and some evacuated the area. The street was shut down during the incident.
Authorities armed with rifles surrounded the residence. At about 11:20 p.m. the subject stepped out of the home and was swiftly taken into custody. Police then entered the house and determined no threats remained.
The St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
