The natural gas leak at the intersection of Henke Road and Sandstone Terrace has been repaired. According to Rob Arrol with Laclede Gas, the leak was not hazardous and was venting properly. The cause was a loose coupling.

Original article from Feb. 6:

Residents and motorists have been noticing a strong natural gas odor at the intersection of Henke Road and Sandstone Terrace in Lake Saint Louis. The problem, which has been ongoing, sends city police as well as fire personnel to the site. Laclede Gas also responds to the scene.
The latest call was Friday, Feb. 6. With each call, fire personnel are required to respond and wait for Laclede to arrive, which may leave their other duties unattended.
Wednesday evening, a Laclede worker at the scene said the gas leak is small and has been deemed a low priority to repair. A phone call to Laclede Gas offices has not been returned.
The alderman for that area, Pearson Buell, said he was aware of the issue but that no residents have yet called him. He said that no matter how small the leak, Laclede needs to fix it. Buell said he will follow up with this matter.
