Early morning home invasion in Lake Saint Louis

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, police were called to a home invasion on Champagne Drive in Lake Saint Louis. Residents were at home when a man carrying a pellet gun stole a safe from their home.
The home owner followed the suspect outside. Police arrived on the scene and after a vehicle pursuit, caught the suspect quickly and without incident.
Authorities initially thought there may have been another suspect involved, but after reviewing the incident, they now state the suspect acted alone.
