May 23, 2008
Lake Saint Louis
Lake Saint Louis Police want residents to be aware that an unknown person or persons entered Lake Saint Louis homes Sunday morning and took cash and jewelry while the homeowners were doing yard work.
According to Chief Michael T. Force, a bold burglar entered at least two homes mid-morning on Sunday, May 18, while the residents were on the premises. In one case, a resident was asleep inside the home when the burglary occurred.
Police advise residents to take appropriate precautions, such as securing entries to the home that are not within view. Citizens should report suspicious activity such as an unknown person entering a neighbor’s home unattended.
Witnesses in Sunday’s incidents reported seeing a woman approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall leaving the area in the timeframe during which the burglaries are believed to have been committed.
Persons with additional information regarding these incidents should contact the Lake Saint Louis Police Department at (636) 625-8018 or on the agency’s Tip Line (636) 625-7995.
