Bomb Squad called to home in Lake Saint Louis

According to scanner reports, authorities were called to a home in the 600 block of Woodchuck in Lake Saint Louis Monday at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a hand grenade was found inside the home.

Chad Layton with the Lake Saint Louis Police Department told sccworlds.com the house was being prepared to go up for auction when “an item” was found. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine if neighbors are in any danger.

The St. Charles County Bomb Squad, Lake Saint Louis Police and Lake Saint Louis Fire Protection as well as a St. Charles County Ambulance were at the scene.
