Accident seriously injures St. Peters woman

On Saturday, November 13, at about 1:47 a.m., Stacey R. Rone, 37, of St. Peters, was driving a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound on Interstate 70 at the 215.2 mile marker in the Lake Saint Louis area.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Rone was driving too fast, lost control of the vehicle and struck a 2005 Pontiac GXS, driven by Robert Rhyneer, 25, of St. Louis. After striking the Pontiac, the Pathfinder struck the median and Rone was ejected.
Rone suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance. She was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
Rone was charged with DWI.
