Go Skateboarding Day in Dardenne Prairie
June 11, 2008
St. Charles County
St. Charles County’s Youth Activity Park (YAP) in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri’s largest skateboarding facility, will be the location for the local National Go Skateboarding Day Celebration on June 21.
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., participants will gain free admission into the park, though a completed activity waiver must be on file.
The event will feature skate competitions, giveaways and demonstrations. Last year’s Go Skateboarding Day brought in 400 participants and many more are expected this year.
The 33,000-square foot skate park boasts street courses, trick rails, challenging bowls, indoor and outdoor rock climbing walls, basketball and sand volleyball courts, batting cage, paved trail, open play fields and an indoor recreational center that features a video-game nook.
The St. Charles County Youth Activity Park is located at 7801 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie, less than a mile west of Bryan Road.
Go Skateboarding Day at the YAP is being sponsored by St. Charles County Parks in partnership with Red Bull Energy Drink and Plan Nine (of St. Peters).
