Dardenne Prairie is set to hold their annual Prairie Days Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19 beginning 1 p.m. at the Dardenne Athletic Field. The day will be jam-packed with music, great food, children’s activities and contests.

Party Starters DJ Service will provide the tunes from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Banana Wind Band will take over with “Trop Rock” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Children will enjoy pony rides, bounce houses, a rock climbing wall as well as making crafts and candy and many more fun activities.

A dunking booth will get aldermen and the mayor all wet for a good cause--a donation to United Services.

The River City Rascals will visit the party as well as mascots from Ameren and Red Robin. Hansen’s Tree Service will “wow” the crowd with their impressive Monster Truck display.

The Dardenne Prairie Knights of Columbus will sell hamburgers, brats and hot dogs while the Dardenne Athletic Association will quench everyone’s thirsts by selling beer, water and soda. Other food vendors keeping the bunch well-fed include: Aunt B’s Kettle Korn, Tropical Sno Cones and Louisiana Café.

Dardenne Prairie residents are eligible and encouraged to participate in these engaging contests:
*Dardenne Prairie’s Sweetest Chef Baking Contest.  Goodie should be turned in by 5 p.m. at the celebration.
