Unload your burdens at the Meadows

The City of Lake Saint Louis and Web Innovations & Technology Services (WITS) are hosting an electronics and appliance recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Meadows Shopping Center near the fountain.

Acceptable items include:
Computers, monitors, cables, office and business equipment and machinery, phones, clocks, televisions, VCR’s, cameras, stereos, audio/video equipment, CD’s, VHS tapes, blenders, toasters, irons, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, furnaces, hot water heaters, home medical equipment, industrial machinery, lawn mowers, tillers, air conditioners, tools, refrigerators, humidifiers, transformers, electric equipment, old motors, car batteries and power supplies.

Please do not bring:
Tires, wood furniture and other wood products, paint and paint cans, household and industrial chemicals.

The suggested drop-off charges for computer monitors, laptops, televisions, large appliances and all freon-containing devices is $5 each. Other items will be free of charge to drop off.

WITS is a not-for profit, community agency in the greater St. Louis region. Payments as well as donations of reusable items may be tax-deductible. For more information about WITS, call 314-382-1650.
