St. Peters Piano/Voice Lab earns superior
ratings at MAMA

Congratulations to the many talented students of St. Peters Piano/Voice Lab who received superior ratings on their performances at the Mid-America Music Association (MAMA) Festival and Competition. The MAMA Festival and Competition took place at the St. Louis Airport Marriot on July 29 – August 1.
Students competed in several categories such as: solo and competitive piano, vocal classical, vocal theater voice, vocal ensemble, vocal blues and jazz, vocal hymns and the junior and senior talent show.
The St. Peters Piano/Voice Lab had 108 entries in the competition and received 104 superior ratings. A superior rating is a score of at least a 95.
The Mid-America Music Association awarded St. Peters Piano/Voice Lab with the following awards:
*Most Outstanding Young Performer in Musical Theater Vocal Division—Erin Richey
*1st place Piano Solo in the Senior Division—Paul Lees
*2nd place Vocal Duet—Macey Walukonis and Rachel Bohn
*3rd place Jazz Piano and Saxophone Solo—Ethan Saake
*3rd place Vocal Solo—Caroline Bruer
*St. Peters Vocal Ensemble also received a superior rating score of 100 on “Defying Gravity” and 99 on “Beauty School Dropout.”
