Remember “Handle with Care”

The “Handle with Care: Glass” exhibition will be displayed at the Foundry Art Centre from October 15 through December 3, 2010. The opening reception is October 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free food and drink along with a reading by Walter Bargen, Missouri’s first Poet Laureate from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Foundry is also hosting a “Handle with Care: Glass” Lecture and Day Trip on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show’s juror, Mark Salsbury, will give a brief lecture and share his thoughts on the exhibition. Guests will then board a chartered bus and travel to the Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis where glass professionals will provide a narrated demonstration and guide the group as they create a glass keepsake to commemorate the day.
