“My Shadow and Me” features art by local professors
and students

The Foundry Art Centre is pleased to offer an exhibition of works by student artists working in a variety of media, as well as the work of the faculty who teach them. “My Shadow & Me” showcases art by local college and university faculty along with a student they have selected to show with them.
Participating schools include: St. Louis Community College – Flo Valley, St. Louis Community College – Meramec, St. Charles Community College, Lindenwood University, Maryville University, University of Missouri – St. Louis, and Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.
The exhibition runs from November 18, 2011 to January 6, 2012. The opening reception is Friday, November 18 from 6-8pm. Free food and drink will be available, as well as the opportunity to meet and converse with the art professors and students. Foundry Artist Studios will also be open to peruse. The Foundry Art Centre is a fine arts gallery overlooking the Missouri River at 520 North Main Center, in the Frenchtown district of Historic St. Charles. The Foundry features a Smithsonian-caliber art gallery hosting national juried exhibitions plus 20 working art studios where visitors can watch the creative process and buy art directly from the artists. The not-for-profit art centre also provides community meeting rooms, event space and a children’s art gallery. Hours are Tuesday - Thursday from 10-8pm, Friday and Saturday from 10-5pm, and Sunday 12-4. Admission is free, and donations are welcome.
