The St. Charles Arts and Culture Commission and Riverside Shakespeare Theatre Co. are set to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream, beginning on June 17 in St. Charles’ Frontier Park. The performances are free.

A young woman is ordered by the king to marry a man of her father’s choosing, Demetrius, or else spend her life in a religious order. Yet, Demetrius has an admirer, Helena. And what of the young woman forced to marry Demetrius? She loves someone else, of course. And the chase is on! Faeries, love potion, Cupid’s arrow and passion are set loose in this story.

When: June 17, 18, 19, 25, 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and on June 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Where: The south end of Frontier Park in Saint Charles. There is free parking along Riverside Drive or in the Lewis and Clark Boathouse parking lot.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is produced by Christopher Ferguson and directed by Justina Bennett. There will be an opening act by Monkey Tails Theatre.
