Local bands compete in Blue Springs

Many local high school marching bands competed at Peve Stadium in the 32nd Annual Invitational Marching Band Festival in Blue Springs, Missouri on Sat., Oct. 2.

St. Charles County bands participating included those from: Francis Howell Central High School, St. Charles High School and Wentzville Holt High School. In addition to field competitions, there were also indoor performances featuring some drum lines and color guards.

Blue Springs High School’s Marching Band, the Golden Regiment, performed their Fall Field Production: “Morocco” as an exhibition. The Golden Regiment has also been invited to march in the 84th Macy’s Parade on November 25.

The day’s events began with preliminary performances at 9 a.m. The awards for final performances concluded at nearly 11 p.m.
