Collage Workshop Taught by Professional Artist

Artist and instructor Shirley Nachtrieb will offer a fun instructive workshop on creating collages at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center. The two-day workshop on Nov. 19 and 20 from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. will cover design and composition of creating collages as well as proper technique to make unique collages.
During the first day of the workshop, participants will paint collage papers such as unryu, 140 lb. arches and gauze. On the second day, participants will create from their painted collage papers. Participants may bring reference materials and ideas to share with the class if you have a special idea for your collage. Golden fluid acrylics will be used as the painting medium for this workshop.
Shirley has been a freelance artist and teacher for more than 30 years. Her painting mediums include watercolor, pastel, acrylics, mixed media, fiber and handmade tools.
