National Night Out 2009 will be held on Tuesday, August 4. If you don’t have plans yet, why not get involved?
This is the 26th year for the popular crime and drug prevention event, which began with neighbors flipping on porch lights to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are alert and fighting back.
National Night Out these days still includes symbolic porch lighting, but may also feature block parties, visits from law enforcement, parades and contests.
