The St. Charles County Parks Department welcomes local fishermen to take advantage of the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Free Fishing Days at any park lake, stream or river on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.  No permits needed, just a day of outdoor fun!

“We enjoy offering families a few days to come out, sample our parks and enjoy fishing at any of our 12 waterways currently open to the public,” said Parks Director, Bettie Yahn-Kramer.

The St. Charles County Parks Department offers a number of wonderful lakes, streams, and rivers open to fishing opportunities.  Park lakes are stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish; while the streams and rivers along our parks are filled with a variety of species.  Most park lakes are now open to harvest fishing and are governed by the fishing regulations established by the state of Missouri.
