Step aside ramen noodles.

Whether nourishment for that all-nighter or comfort food for the home-sick, flavorful fare can be a welcome change of pace from spoonfuls of peanut butter and microwave popcorn.

If you, or someone you know, are heading to college, tuck these recipes in the duffle bag.

Nachos (of course)
Tortilla chips
Can of refried beans
Shredded cheddar cheese
Salsa

Put the tortilla chips on a microwave safe dish. Top with refried beans, cheese and salsa. Microwave for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese melts.

Bacon Tortilla
One tortilla
4 pieces of bacon
4 pieces of American cheese

Cook bacon in microwave. Put the tortilla on a microwave-safe plate and add cheese. Microwave for 20 seconds until melted. Put bacon on the cheese and roll the tortilla up. Optional: Add salsa, avocado or sour cream.

Fettucini Alfredo
Fettucini noodles
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter

Cook fettucini (boil and drain).
In a pan, melt the cream cheese, milk and butter. When creamy, add parmesan cheese.
Pour the sauce over the pasta and serve.
Optional: Add cooked crumbled bacon on top, if desired

Wraps
Pieces of cooked turkey or chicken
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Lettuce
Ranch dressing
Tortilla

Put slices of the cooked turkey or chicken on the tortilla and then top with cheese. Microwave in a microwave-safe plate dish until cheese is melted (about 1 minute on high). Add lettuce, then spread Ranch dressing on top.
Roll up the wrap and eat.

Go Team! Go Food!
