Salty, twisty thrills in St. Charles

While delivering our print newsletters and recipe booklets* last month, giddiness washed over me as I spied Pretzel Stop, a drive-through pretzel stand in St. Charles.

I purchased one soft pretzel, salted, nothing too fancy for me (a purist). Oh boy did it hit the spot. I was feeling droopy from all the walking and driving. It was the pick-me-up needed to finish my route. I didn’t even feel guilty about spending the money, because it only cost a little over a dollar.

There are cinnamon-sugar pretzels, pretzel bites, stuffed pretzels (pretzel brat/pretzel Italian sausage), gourmet and regular pretzel dips. They even offer pretzel platters.

Anyway, I enjoyed a Pretzel Stop treat again the other day (after snapping a photo of the almost-open Heritage Museum) and noticed signs for Pretzel Stop’s Grand Opening celebration. By the way, this isn’t a paid ad or endorsement or anything…just a community observation.

Here’s the scoop:

Pretzel Stop’s Grand Opening
1721 Ford Lane, St. Charles (near the 94/Zumbehl/Friedens intersection)
Saturday, October 16
Noon to 5 p.m.

Just had to share. If you ever need a quick something—call it lunch, call it a snack—you know where you can find a yummy energy boost. Pretzel onward, everyone.
