“Linking Minds. Connecting Hearts. Being Neighborly,” reads the tag line for a new local newspaper.
Perhaps you’ve seen them in your favorite stores, restaurants or at the library. The new Neighbors About Town Home Matters monthly newspaper has débuted.
Previously published as newsletters and recipe booklets, Neighbors About Town publications have been popular; but their formats were limiting. The newspaper, released this month, offers more space for recipes, articles, projects and tidbits.
The missions of Neighbors About Town Home Matters publications have always been: encouraging one another while learning new skills to benefit family and community.
The publication also encourages spreading cheer and becoming “joy personified” while about town. This is an essential component of Neighbors About Town, because the tone of a community reflects what is put into it.
These are some of the ideals Neighbors About Town promotes. Excited to discover where such a project will lead? Grab a free Neighbors About Town Home Matters newspaper from one of over 200 locations (including libraries) throughout St. Charles County.
Neighbors About Town has been promoting community since 2004. Some activities have included: individually welcoming new residents, hosting a newcomer reception, sending happy notes of recognition to residents and publishing print newsletters and recipe booklets as well as celebrating residents and reporting news in the daily-updated community website, sccworlds.com.
