Let’s talk gooey butter cake

Today, on the Chickens in the Road blog from West Virginia, there is a discussion underway regarding gooey butter cake.

Two recipe versions are presented; one is from a St. Louis cookbook and the other from Paula Deen.

I commented to say that the Paula Deen version is what I have made many times. Perhaps you have a different version?
